Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Northwest District Receives Grant from Nordson Corporation

Eau Claire, WI – Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Inc., Northwest Wisconsin (JA) received $17,500 from Nordson Corporation Foundation to help with volunteer retention and communication during COVID-19. JA programs equip students by teaching them about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. The grant states that volunteers are an essential part of JA's programs to share real-world knowledge to students. This school year, volunteers will be trained virtually and will learn how to teach using online platforms.

“We are most enthusiastic and supportive of the work you are doing in the community,” said Cindy Baumgardner Nordson community relations manager. “Programs like Junior Achievement fit well within this area of focus and strengthen our local communities. By actively participating in Junior Achievement, students gain knowledge of a variety of career opportunities and skills, helping them to become not only great employees, but selfsufficient members of our society. “

Nordson Foundation’s commitment allows Junior Achievement to deliver impactful programs to middle and high school students in both Chippewa and Eau Claire counties.
